    It was rented by the Portuguese in 1557, and then became a Portuguese colony in 1887. 
    In 1974, became a Chinese Territory administered by Portugal, and then Chinese in 1999.
    Has a high degree of economic and political autonomy, much as Hong Kong does.

    95% of population in 1600 were Catholics, but only 5% call themselves Christians today. 
    In Asia, 1st place for Protestant missionaries, 1st Chinese converts, and 1st Chinese Bible. 
    Now almost all follow Buddhism, Taoism, or traditional Chinese religions.
    There is a high turnover of church leaders, making it hard for the Gospel to spread.
    Gambling earns far more profit here than in Las Vegas, and prostitution comes along with it.

    Pray for more stability in the churches, and that pastors can lead the churches in growth. 
    Pray that the Lord would bring a breakthrough in this city of sin.
