History / Politics

Christians united in prayer in the 1990’s and stability and economic progress followed. There are issues with AIDS, the wide divide between rich and poor, and slums in cities. Anglican and Lutheran missionaries established large denominations in the 19th century. Liberalism in the church and African spiritism has caused confusion. Charismatic fellowships have brought new life to the country.
