Many of the inhabitants descended from slaves. Fathers are often absent, and many mothers have to raise children alone. Many adolescents become involved with gangs, crime, and substance abuse.
There is not enough discipleship for Christians and inadequate training for pastors. Most people call themselves Christians, but it does not seem to affect their lives.
Pray for improved training of pastors and discipleship among Believers. Pray that Christians would have revival that would affect their behavior and compassion.
